Flexible options to fit around your work schedule. All programmes include supervision by police-vetted staff and are MSD accredited.

Before School Care

7:00am – 8:15am · Monday to Friday (term time)

Start the day right with a warm breakfast and supervised play before school begins. Children are walked safely to their classrooms when the bell rings.

After School Care

3:00pm – 6:00pm · Monday to Friday (term time)

A warm, fun space for children to unwind after school. Our staff personally collect under-7s and new children from their classrooms. Older kids walk straight over. They enjoy afternoon snacks, playground time, board games, toys, and movies.

Action-packed school holiday fun with themed days, exciting trips, and creative activities. Open to children from any school in the wider West Auckland area. Every day is different — from movie trips and bowling to cooking days and arts & crafts.

Kids Knection Spring Holiday Programme 2026 flyer. Out of School Care and Recreation at Marina View Primary, West Harbour, 28 September to 9 October 2026, ages 5 to 13. Fees: full day $65 (8:00am–5:30pm), short day $50 (9:00am–3:00pm), trip day $75 (8:00am–5:30pm). Week one: Monday 28 September nature flag, gather, press, shine, nature's own stained glass. Tuesday 29 September cookie ice cream sandwich, sandwich it, sprinkle it, and create a sweet frozen masterpiece. Wednesday 30 September painting sweet gum flowers, little hands, big blooms. Thursday 1 October trip to Western Springs, wildlife, wetlands, and open-air exploration. Friday 2 October Finnigan the Friendship Fish, one fish, many scales, everyone belongs. Week two: Monday 5 October crazy face challenge, the craziest face wins the race. Tuesday 6 October nut-free chocolate bliss balls, roll, dip, and sprinkle your way to a healthy treat. Wednesday 7 October don't drop the ball, can your team keep the ball moving. Thursday 8 October trip to Kopupaka Playground, climb, balance, explore, and play the day away. Friday 9 October picnic in the park plus frisbee, picnic rugs, packed lunches and frisbee fun in the sunshine. Fully supervised, caring team, plus lots more games, crafts and fun throughout the day. OSCAR Subsidy

Help with childcare costs

We're an approved OSCAR provider. Eligible families can receive government subsidies that significantly reduce your fees.

How the OSCAR subsidy works

The Out of School Care and Recreation (OSCAR) subsidy is provided by Work and Income New Zealand to help eligible families with childcare costs. It can cover up to 20 hours per week during term time and up to 50 hours per week during school holidays.

The amount you receive depends on your family circumstances. Some families pay as little as $2 per day after the subsidy is applied.

How to apply

  1. Contact Work and Income to check your eligibility
  2. Fill in the OSCAR subsidy application form
  3. Bring the form to us — we'll complete our section and submit it for you
  4. Work and Income will process your application and let you know the outcome

We help with the paperwork.Just ask us when you enrol and we'll guide you through the process. We can also remind you when your subsidy needs renewing.
